We have an opportunity to visist and tour a small brewery local to the Ski Lake Park area. Tim Rockey, the owner of  M.T. Head Brewing  http://www.mtheadbrewingco.com/ has offered to open early on Saturday or Sunday if the Beerstock revelers would like to tour his small brewery and sample some of his beers. M. T. Head brewing is about 9 miles south of the Beerstock festival site.

Tim has been brewing at the location since 2009 and brews on a 2 BBL system. It would be a great opportunity to see how a start-up brewery sets up on a small system for anyone thinking of opening up a brewery someday.  It would also be an opportunity to visit a brewery in an area where most of us would not normally travel to. The cost of any beers sampled at his brewery would not be covered by your Beerstock donation.

I think Saturday would be the day that makes more sense as you could just plan on arriving a couple hours early into the area. I do not think many people would be looking for a place to get a couple beers Sunday after attending Beerstock all day on Saturday.

If there is enough interest in people attending I will contact Tim and coordinate with him to open up the brewery to Beerstock attendees. I’m thinking about trying for 11:00 AM on Saturday morning to open his doors. I assume any tour would start a bit after that. Please check with your groups and see if there is any interest from your members in seeing this brewery before we ask them to open early. I’m thinking we can also ask Tim if he would like to attend Beerstock later that evening after he closes up.

Please let me know as soon as you can with as firm a count as you can.

Cheers
